Come next year, residents of Longville Park in Clarendon will have their own health centre.
The announcement was made on Wednesday by South East Clarendon Member of Parliament Rudyard Spencer at the official handing over of the latest development in the housing scheme- Longville Vista and Longville Court.
Spencer said representations were made to the government citing the need for the health centre given the community’s over 12,000 residents.

He said that he was promised that the health facility would be a reality in 2019
The MP also said that in addition to the health centre there is also a plan to build a school in the area
Meanwhile, Minister without portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation Karl Samuda, who made the keynote presentation, said that the government is committed to developing the country’s infrastructure
Speaking against the background of major road projects currently underway in the Corporate Area, Samuda said the “sweet pains” being experienced by motorists and commuters will be beneficial in the long run
Samuda, who has responsibility for housing, added that the government is also on a path of increasing housing solutions
